Volcano Trip

The Cosiguina Volcano is located in the most Northwest corner of Nicaragua. In 1835, a violent eruption occurred. A large portion of the crater exploded into pieces, with ashes reaching as far as Mexico City, and Colombia. Hiking to the hole is accessible by foot, with mild slopes leading to incredible views.
Trip Details:
1. A picturesque, tractor ride from the farm to the starting
point of the ascent on foot. (45 min)
2. Ascent with our ranger, Julio, born and raised on the
volcano's slopes. (1hour)
3. Viewpoint of the 3 countries of Central America—
Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
4. Descent (30 min).
5. Return trip to the farm (45 min).
